Mt juliET TAE KWON DO
 SUMMER CAMP

Mission Statement
The mission of our summer camp program is to provide top-notch care for your child in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment, while guaranteeing a "kicking camp" experience!

About Our Summer Camp

Welcome to Mt Juliet's #1 Summer Camp Program! The staff of Mt Juliet Tae Kwon Do takes pride in putting forth their best efforts to assure each child has a fun-filled day! Kids are tickled with all the activities we offer and are eager to participate! Outings to the bowling alley, movie theater, water/swim days, and attending local parks, for scavenger hunts and hiking, only touches the excitement we have planned. Most of our activities are planned in the morning, so we ask that children be dropped off no later than 8:30 a.m. Members 5th grade and up have the option and enjoy swimming daily! Although we do not teach taekwondo/self defense classes in summer, the instructors will include discussions on stranger danger, anti-bullying, and other martial art topics.
We currently have spots available for 5 -9 years old. We are not currently enrolling students 10 years old and up. All spots have been reserved at this time.

  • Hours and Fees

    Hours of Operation

Drop off begins at 7:00 a.m. and all students must be picked up no later than 6:00 p.m. “Quiet time” is from 7:00-8:30 each morning while children are arriving. Electronics, reading, and tv time is allowed during this time.

      SUMMER CAMP TUITION

Cost of the program is $195 per week for the first child (discounts available for multiple children), plus an enrollment fee of $75.  ONLY ACCEPTING FULL -TIME ENROLLMENT FOR NOW.
If you wish for your child to attend part-time, contact week prior to your desired days. Pricing will be calculated at $65 per day, per child (you pick the desired days).

Once your child is enrolled in our program, you are reserving a space for your child in the summer camp program.  Since we are not a daycare, you will be asked to sign up your child each week.  Be sure to sign up for each of the days/weeks you desire—the camps are sure to fill quickly.

You will be asked to complete a form allowing MJTKD to withdraw directly from your banking account using an e-check system, or credit/debit card system.  Payment is due prior to the week of attendance. You will have a choice to have money withdrawn weekly or bi-weekly.  You may choose to pre-pay with bank card, cash, or money order only! We will not accept personal checks.

Your child MUST be picked up no later than 6 p.m.  We do have a late pick-up policy.  The first five minutes are “free”.  At minute six, the time goes back to the first minute and it is $2 per every minute that you are late.  We go by the time on cell phones.  (The time is same regardless of your carrier.)

*Seats are only guaranteed reserved for students who are pre-registered.  We take responsibility for reserving your child a spot when you sign up for the week.  NO REFUNDS or CREDITS will be issued.

    General Information

    Snacks

Our camp program includes a 15 to 20 minute snack break in its schedule which should be provided by you.  Because of  food allergies, MJTKD does not furnish snacks.  Snacks and drinks are also available for purchase and range from $1.00 to $1.50.  You will need to notify MJTKD of any food allergies. Occasionally MJTKD may have “special” meals or treats.  Parents will be notified accordingly. You must notify MJTKD of any food allergies.

    Illness
Children who become ill during the day may not remain at camp.  Parents will be called to pick up the child as soon as possible.  To prevent the spread of infections, please keep your child home when he/she has an elevated temperature, upset stomach, diarrhea, has a contagious condition such as pink eye, chicken pox, head lice, or has a skin infection or serious cold.  Your child will need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to MJTKD.

    Medication
MJTKD will administer medication, provided the meds be placed in the original prescription bottle with correct administering of the medication on the front label.

    Injuries
If your child is injured at school, the only treatment provided is cleansing with soap and water, ice, band-aid(s) and TLC.  Individual “accident and incident” reports are given to the parent to inform them of the injury.  An injury that requires more than the basis previously listed will necessitate a parent coming to the center to determine if professional medical care is required in all non-emergency situations.

    Release of Children
Children will be released only to those individuals whose names are recorded on the enrollment forms.  All authorized persons must be 18 years of age or older unless a signed statement is in your child’s file.  Other persons not on the forms must have a written authorization signed by the parent and followed up with verbal authorization from the parent. All persons are subject to proof of identification.  If the school has not obtained a verbal follow-up authorization from the parent, the child will not be released.

    Changes
MJTKD needs to be immediately notified of changes in telephone numbers (home or work), job, family status, custody changes, doctors, and authorized persons to pick up your child.

    Holidays
MJTKD is closed Monday, May 27th (in observance of Memorial Day), Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.  We may also be closed on occasion for the day prior to or day following ANY holiday.  Any and all closings will be posted in advance.
